Paul’s doughty Americans killed enough of Mike’s Japanese to win ASL 67 Cibik’s Ridge.
The Japanese columns came on fast but quickly met minor American resistance. The columns dissolved in confusion with minor casualties.
The Americans continued their reverse slope defense, voluntarily breaking to get up the hill quickly. The Japanese attack rolled on, slowed only by the terrain. The action became whirling and intense on top of the hill, with much encircling on both sides.
On turn 7, the Japanese had hit the 22 CVP cap.
A spirited attack by Mike.
